My latest drawing exercise was of Michael Giacchino, from the cover of Film Score Monthly. He just officially announced that the full thirteen minute version of Roar! (Cloverfield Overture) will be released, and I couldn't be more excited! He's an amazing composer, and I have enjoyed all of his work that I've heard. But, beyond a doubt, his composition for Cloverfield is my favorite. Just one more thing that makes the movie as awesome as it is.
I went through several sketching phases with this drawing, and while I'm happy with several parts of it, it does bring out some of the things I need to work on. But isn't that the point of a drawing exercise? So basically this was a good reason to keep practicing. I need every bit of motivation I can muster.
Oh, no probs, dude. It actually does look like him pretty much, now that I look at the picture again. It looks like Michael in a really simplified way. :]
